Teambuilding

You won’t take part in the usual convivial or adventurous team building events during Blits Training. Under abnormal or extreme circumstances, it’s not very difficult to create a nice ‘group feeling’. However, the aim is actually to create mutual openness and trust in the work place on a daily basis. In this way, sensitive subjects can be discussed regardless of circumstances, timing or atmosphere.

In a group setting, together with their managers, we teach colleagues, to put into words what they really think and want. Rumours and gossip are rife in the corridors but back together in the group, people are suddenly quiet. The level of openness is low but the level of macho behaviour is high. In other words, we don’t mention our worries or where we’re falling short. We prefer to tell stories to each other showing that we’re the hero who’s sorted everything out. Teamwork and solidarity rise and fall with openness and trust. Without these attributes, everything else is just pretence. We learn ‘teams’ to become a real team. A place where openness and trust are the standard.
